At this year’s Designers’ Saturday the visitors who swung by the interactive stand of our Swiss partner Dietiker could enjoy a very special installation. Chairs, stools and a couch of the Les Couleurs® Les Corbusier collection were suspended from a 3-meter-high ceiling of the old carpenters workshop and invited visitors to see-saw and have fun.
An unique atmosphere was created with autumn foliage laying on the raw concrete floor and acoustical staging. The Les Couleurs® Les Corbusier furniture collection by Dietiker, includes natural tones which pass from brown into a warm ocre and deep Umber – timeless and elegant. The extraordinary exhibition concept was created by Debora Biffi and Bejamin Moser // SDF Design Studio.
The Award Jury of the Designers’ Saturday Award was delighted as well and bestows Dietiker with the DS Gold Award for exceptional Presentation and Design. With a simple idea Dietiker achieved an exciting product presentation. A multifarious exhibition is the aspiration of the DS organisers, with the aim of showing a clear contrast to the ongoing expansion of mass events. About 70 national and international interior and design exhibitors presented their products at the biennial.
About a week later, at an exclusive event, Dietiker celebrated the award in the Schoch Werkhaus in Winterthur. After some introductory words by Madame Felber (CEO Dietiker) and Mister Schoch (CEO Schoch AG) , Prof. Dr. Luippold (President Les Couleurs Suisse AG) presented a collection of anecdotes from Le Corbusiers life. In the annex building of the former industrial building 39, the so-called “Spickel” the Le Couleurs® Le Corbusier chair collection will be displayed for a few weeks and is even visible from the passage.
